Mussolini, in Italy, had a civilian paramilitary force dedicated to hindering anyone opposing his agenda.
Liberal, Elitist, Globalist, Progressive, Socialist, Communist, Democrats in the United States today have a paramilitary force charged with physical intimidation of anyone who prefers an agenda other than theirs.
