38 STATES NEEDED TO CHANGE CONSTITUTION

Back in the 70’s an amendment to the Constitution was put forth called the Equal Rights Amendment.
35 of the 50 states have already voted to ratify the amendment.
Alabama,Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois,Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Utah, and Virginia have not yet voted.
The ERA will become valid if three more states ratify it.
Here’s what it does:
- It merely repeats the protection against sexual prejudice already afforded by the 14th Amendment. It is redundant.
- It would negate the biological and physiological distinctions of both males and females. It creates a roll-your-own gender system.
- It is very likely that courts would interpret “sex” as used in the ERA to mean “gender”, thus allowing people to choose what gender they wish to be regardless of their chromosomes.
- People who reject the idea of non-biological identity would be violating the law. They would have to conform to the idea of there being just one sex with countless genders.
- It takes power away from the states and gives it to Washington. It contains the phrase,“Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.”
- Many current restrictions on abortion which states have adopted would most likely be overturned. Abortion on-demand with no restrictions and funded by taxpayers would likely become the law.
If you live in a state that has not yet voted contact your state lawmakers and urge them to oppose the ERA!
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” –Genesis 1: 27
