When the mass murderer– unnamed here to deny him the fame he seeks– who killed or wounded many innocent victims at Sandy Hook Elementary school drove directly from his Mom’s home, where he had just killed her, to Sandy Hook elementary school his route took him directly past the high school he had once attended, Newtown H.S.

A reasonable question to ask is: Why did he choose to drive further to the elementary school when the larger target of opportunity was right in-front of him?

Both schools had armed guards on-duty, right?. . . No. Only the High School was guarded and everyone knew it. Sandy Hook was far more vulnerable and far less likely to defend itself.

The Connecticut State Attorney’s post-shooting report said this: “The elementary school may have been targeted because he could overpower people, a dynamic that is very important for mass shooters as they do not want to be thwarted.”

FACT: Normal predatory behavior is to target the weakest, most vulnerable prey. Defensive weakness invites predation.

Strengthen the defenses of our children’s schools. . . don’t weaken them!
