1.When bad people use something to accomplish their evil purpose it is not a realistic solution to legislate whatever it is they used out of existence.

Good people use fire to roast marshmallows on a camping trip.

Evil people use fire to kill innocent occupants of a night club.

Taking fire away from good people will not stop evil acts.

2. An armed citizenry is an effective obstacle to government tyranny.
