Gavin Hubbard is a New Zealand man who once lifted weights competitively. He competed years ago and achieved personal best lifts of 123 lbs in the snatch lift, and 135 lbs in the clean and jerk lift. The record lifts in his weight class in those categories are 476 and 580 lbs respectively. So he was no star.
Well, he has a new plan. He now identifies as Laurel Hubbard and competes in the women’s class! He has been officially accepted as a female competitor. The record lifts for the women’s category in his new weight class are 333 and 412 respectively.
Anyway, it’s fun to see the astonishing lengths to which Liberal Lunacy can be taken.
