President Trump is now in his 11th month as President.
Here is a compendium of what he did during his most recent full month October 2017:
- On the 25th he announced a new drone Integration Pilot Program that will accelerate drone integration into the national airspace system. It will enhance the safety of the American public, increase the efficiency and productivity of American industry, and create tens of thousands of new American jobs.
- Michelle Obama had a staff of 16 costing taxpayers $1.24 million a year. Only four people work for the new First Lady at an annual cost of $486,700.
- On the 12th President Trump signed an Executive Order directing a rewrite of Obamacare regulations to create cheaper health plans available across state lines. It allows small-business owners, trade groups and others to join together to purchase health insurance. Prescription drug coverage will not be required so premiums can be lower.
- A trusted survey taken on the 13th showed U.S. consumer sentiment unexpectedly surged to a 13-year high as Americans’ perceptions of the economy and their own finances rebounded.
- On the 13th POTUS 45 announced he will NOT certify the ill-conceived Iran nuclear deal and vowed that the U.S. will pull out unless changes are made. He unveiled a strategy on how to protect America from the mullah-led regime.
- The President announced America is withdrawing from the U.N. operation UNESCO. This action shows the President’s unwavering support for one of America’s strongest allies, Israel, who is often the object of UNESCO negative bias.
- On the 10th the Supreme Court dismissed a major challenge to President Trump’s travel ban on majority-Muslim countries. The ruling is a victory for the Trump administration, making America less vulnerable to immigrant and refugee terrorists.
- On he 9th a new set of rules that will override the centerpiece of Obama’s drive to curb global climate change. The agency is moving to implement the largest regulatory rollback in the EPA’s 47-year history.
- On the 8th a 70-point proposal that calls for increased border security, interior enforcement of immigration laws and a merit-based immigration system was introduced. It includes funding and construction of The Wall, expedited deportation of illegal aliens, protecting innocent people in “sanctuary cities,” ending extended-family chain migration and establishing a point-based system for green cards to protect U.S. workers and taxpayers.
- On the 6th the Administration issued guidance to all agencies and departments regarding religious liberty protections. The guidance identifies 20 high-level principles that can be put to practical use to ensure the religious freedoms of Americans. Americans do not give up their freedom of religion by participating in the marketplace, partaking of the public square, or interacting with government. The government may not restrict acts or abstentions because of the beliefs a citizen lives by.
- In October the missile defense system was re-budgeted with an additional $400 million.
- The President expanded religious and moral exemptions for mandated contraceptive coverage under Obamacare. Obama’s signature legislation forced citizens with religious or moral beliefs about the sanctity of human life to pay steep fines, or to go without health insurance entirely. The rule aligns with the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling.
- On the 5th President Trump revived the National Space Council for the first time in 25 years. The new focus will be on human exploration and discovery.
- On Oct. 4 a bill cleared that will authorize $10 billion in new infrastructure spending, new waivers to speed up construction, and 10,000 more border agents and officers to patrol the U.S.-Mexico line.
- On the second of October the Administration strongly supported the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (H.R. 36), which will make abortion unlawful beyond 20 weeks after conception.
- On Oct. 1 The president issued a statement Oct. 1 renewing the nation’s “strong commitment to promoting the health, well-being, and inherent dignity of all children and adults with Down syndrome.” He said Americans and their government “must always be vigilant in defending and promoting the unique and special gifts of all citizens in need” and “should not tolerate any discrimination against them, as all people have inherent dignity.”
- Throughout October President Trump worked with Congress to lower taxes by seven points for the middle class and lower business taxes to a 15 percent rate.
So, which of these 17 actions is causing the Liberal/Globalist/Establishment/Socialist/Progressive/Shadow Government/Elitist/Communist/Deep State community so much angst?
