As part of the deconstruction of the United States Liberals claim the sky is falling because human activity is altering the Earth’s climate. They do this in order to impose government controls on industry, and ultimately, the economy.

Actually there are four contributors to Earth’s climate. Man-made influences are the least influential of the four.

Obviously the Sun is first. Then there is the influence of Volcanoes. Then there is El Nino. And finally Greenhouse Gases (man-made emissions).

Imagine trying to put a tax on, or to control, the Sun, or Volcanoes, or El Nino. That leaves just one taxable/controllable possibility.

So, to justify taxing and control, the Liberal mantra is “CO2 emissions are causing a warming trend and the ice cap is melting so everybody panic because if we don’t shut-down American industry we are all going to drown in really hot water”. It is just not true that reducing greenhouse gases will stabilize and optimize Earth’s climate. Climate is a result of natural forces which obey commands from far beyond Man’s ability to control or influence.
