According to its backers the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) was going to “promote economic growth; support the creation and retention of jobs; enhance innovation, productivity and competitiveness; raise living standards; reduce poverty in the signatories’ countries; and promote transparency, good governance, and enhanced labor and environmental protections.”
It probably would… but only for Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, and Vietnam, not so much for America (which was the whole point for the Globalists led by the DNC Liberals.)
As he stated in his campaign President Trump is convinced the trade agreement would adversely affect the the U.S. and vowed to cancel it if elected.
Well, Trump was elected… and it is cancelled!
