The IRS spent $1.4M on travel for 27 employees in 2015! That’s almost $52K a year just in travel expenses. And that’s a drop in the bucket.
IRS employees are allowed up to $7,099 per month living expenses while on “long-term” travel. More than half of the long-term travel is spent in D.C. Several employees stayed in hotels for months, contrary to IRS procedures.
One employee stayed in the Grand Hyatt racking up a $38,799 tab, while another stayed in various D.C. area hotels including the Ritz Carlton for a tab of $72,544.
Another employee rented a million-dollar townhouse for a year, costing taxpayers $59,400. Another stayed in a luxury Chicago apartment costing $4,605 a month.
Get the point? Obama’s administration robbed the American people.
Conservatives stand for fiscal responsibility. Liberals stand for living the high life at taxpayer expense.
This is all part of draining the swamp. Go Trump!
