“A TERRIBLE RESOLVE.”

On a Sunday morning 75 years ago today, in Hawaii, Japan, using long-range torpedo bombers, attacked U.S. forces killing 2,403 servicemen and wounding 1,178 more. 4 U.S. battleships were sunk.
Why Japan, in an act of apparent suicide, threw the first punch at an unsuspecting opponent ten-times their size and industrial strength is still argued by experts today.
Japan’s sucker punch was not a knock-out. America shook it off and spent the next 1,247 days bringing Japan to her knees in unconditional surrender.
Forgive and forget? Get over it? No.
REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR!
Japanese Admiral Yamamoto announced to the world just after the attack, “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”
