HOW A MORMON POLITICIAN THINKS…

Mitt Romney is on the short list of Sec. of State candidates.

It’s funny that Mitt hasn’t excluded himself on the basis of his immense dislike and deep, very personal lack of respect for Trump.

Here are some of Romney’s malicious remarks about the man he is now hoping to work for:

“If Donald Trump’s plans were ever implemented, the country would sink into a prolonged recession.”

“He inherited his business, he didn’t create it. And what ever happened to Trump Airlines, Trump University, Trump Magazine, Trump vodka, Trump Steaks, and Trump Mortgage? A business genius he is not.”

“His prescriptions to do things are flimsy at best.”

“I would vote for Rubio, Kasich, Cruz or whichever one has the best chance of beating Trump.”

“What [Trump] said on 60 Minutes about Syria and ISIS has to go down as the most ridiculous and dangerous idea of the campaign season.”

“Dishonesty is Trump’s hallmark.”

And the character assassinations go on and on.

Mr. Romney disagrees with most of America who made their opinion clear on Nov. 8.

Are we who respect, support, and voted for Donald Trump expected to be pleased with one of his most outspoken opponents who was (but no longer is??) devoted to keeping our man from succeeding, serving as Sec. of State?

Trump is a player. He knows the Mormon sector is influential. He knows they will make better supporters than enemies. Trump knows how to put aside personal feelings in favor of making America great again, even if it means overlooking repeated instances of personal libel and slander.

But Romney… how can he reconcile his tail-wagging excitement about becoming 4th in line for the Presidency with his well-documented dislike and disrespect for Trump? He has made it clear he believes Trump is bad for America, but he is drooling over the possibility of becoming one of the top members of the Trump team.

How do politicians think?

Strange bedfellows indeed.
