Enough politics for one week.

A helpful household hint…If you owned all 66 books of the Bible, each in its own binding, this is how you should label the shelves for easy reference:

Top shelf, left, five books, labeled “LAW” (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy).

Top shelf center, 12 books, labeled “Old Testament HISTORY” (Joshua, Judges, Ruth, I Samuel, II Samuel, I Kings, II Kings, I Chronicles, II Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther).

Top shelf right, five books, labeled “POETRY” (Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon).

Middle shelf left, five books, labeled “MAJOR PROPHETS” (Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Daniel).

Middle shelf right, 12 books, labeled :MINOR PROPHETS” (Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum,Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi).

Bottom shelf left, four books labeled “GOSPELS” (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John).

Bottom shelf left-center, one book, labeled “New Testament HISTORY” (Acts of the Apostles).

Bottom shelf center, 9 books, labeled “EPISTLES TO CHURCHES”:

Romans, I Corinthians, II Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, I Thessalonians, II Thessalonians.

Bottom shelf center-right, 4 books, labeled “EPISTLES TO PERSONS” (I Timothy, II Timothy, Titus, Philemon).

Bottom shelf right, 9 books, labeled “GENERAL EPISTLES” (Hebrews, James, I Peter, II Peter, I John, II John, III John, Jude, Revelation).

It is much more common to have all 66 books bound as one. It is readily available (and is the best selling book of all time)! It is titled The Holy Bible.

Relax. Ponder your origin and purpose.
