FIND THE OFFENSIVE WORD/PHRASE

Since no one ever sings anything beyond the first verse of The Star Spangled Banner it must be in there that we will discover what the Social Justice Warriors find so offensive. Let’s have a look …

O! say can you see, by the dawn’s early light[Anything there to protest?] What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming, [Expressing pride in America.] Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight[About the event.] O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming? [Recognition of the flag flying.] And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air, [Describing the action.] Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there; [Combat ceases if flag is lowered.] O! say does that star-spangled banner yet wave [Is America still defending herself?] O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave? [Are Americans still brave and free?]

America’s CEO, Barack Hussein Obama, says he would “… rather have young people who are engaged in the argument and trying to think through how they can be part of our democratic process than people who are just sitting on the sidelines not paying attention at all.” [People who stand for the National Anthem are not paying attention?]

The question remains… What is offensive about the Star Spangled Banner?
