AMERICA’S MILITARY READINESS CONTINUES TO SLIDE

Every year The Heritage Foundation publishes the only non-government assessment of U.S. military readiness. The 2016 report is alarming.
America’s overall military strength is rated “Marginal”, and the trend is downward toward “Weak”.
Both the Air Force and the Army have dropped to the next lower category since the 2015 report. The Army is now rated “Weak”.
Every branch is undergoing decreased readiness and aging equipment.
Threats to America have changed too. Both China and Russia have been elevated to “High” threat level.
