As a totalitarian dictator Fidel, the bastard son of a wealthy farmer, oversaw rampant human-rights abuses, an exodus of more than one million Cubans, and the total impoverishment of Cuba.

And, of course, Castro allowed his Soviet friends to establish missile bases in Cuba. These WMD’s were capable of striking deep into the continental U.S.
