In a recent speech to America the soon-to-be-ex President listed 10 reasons for joy and optimism he has provided.

#10: “The economy. Over the past 12 months, our businesses have created 2.5 million new jobs.” Actual statistics (from the U.S. Dept.of Labor): In November alone, 1.7 million persons were marginally attached to the labor force. These individuals were: not in the labor force; wanted and were available for work; and had looked for a job sometime in the prior 12 months. They were not counted as
unemployed.

#9: “More Americans are getting health coverage.” Actual statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau: “33 million Americans, 10.4 percent of the U.S. population,went without health insurance for the entirety of 2014. Millions more were uninsured for at least part of the year.

#8: “America’s global leadership on climate change. Last week, in Paris, nearly 200 countries came together to set the course for a low-carbon future.” Actual facts from the Associated Press: “The accord doesn’t settle the sensitive question of whether advanced developing countries such as China and oil-rich Arab nations should join industrialized countries in providing financial aid. It also doesn’t spell out the long-term goal of the accord — whether it is to remove carbon emissions from the economy altogether or just reduce them. Nor does it settle whether governments will aim to limit the global temperature rise.”

#7: “We turned the page on an outdated, half-century old policy by re-establishing diplomatic relations with Cuba.” Actual facts (from Forbes Magazine): “Diplomatic relations do not guarantee progress. Nor do inexistent embargoes. There is nothing in the current agreement that would prevent Cuba from continuing to impose the same policies that have condemned its citizens and Venezuelans to poverty or exile.”

#6: “Preventing the spread of nuclear weapons.” Facts from Reuters News Service: Iran tested a new medium-range ballistic missile last month in a breach of two U.N. Security Council resolutions.The test was held on Nov. 21. The missile traveled within Iranian territory near Chabahar, a port city near Iran’s border with Pakistan. It was a liquid-fueled missile with a 1,180 mile range and was capable of carrying a nuclear warhead.”

#5: “Standing strong against terrorism.” Actual facts (Forbes Magazine): “The president released five senior members of the terrorist organization known as the Taliban in exchange for dubiously-captured POW Bowe Bergdahl. Also, Obama says he will fund a Palestinian government which includes the designated terrorist organization Hamas. Further, Hezbollah is setting up new training camps and recruiting younger militants than ever, and has successfully seized parts of southern Syria. The Quds Force, a paramilitary and terrorist branch of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, is also active in Syria and has assembled a 50,000-strong Shi’a militia force.” Also, Obama stopped his Sec. of Defense from retaliating against Syria’s use of chemical weapons.

#4:“A 21st century trade deal that makes sure our businesses can sell goods “Made in America” across the Asia-Pacific.” Facts (Huffington Post) China is not part of it. It does not protect U.S. jobs. Only the top 10% of U.S. wage earners will benefit.

#3: “Congress passed a bipartisan budget that invests in middle-class priorities, keeps our military the strongest in the world, and takes the threat of shutdowns and manufactured crises off the table for 2016.” Facts (the Heritage Foundation) No one read it. It is fraudulent about ‘Emergency Spending’. Energy production and border security is threatened. It is larded with pork and over-regulates chemical companies. It is full of gimmicks and misplaced priorities. It violates all spending caps.

#2: “In America you’re free to marry the person you love, because the freedom to marry is now the law in all fifty states.” Facts (TFP Student Action) MArriage is already defined as a man and a woman, two different things cannot be called the same thing. It violates Natural Law and denies children a Mother or a Father. It makes a moral wrong a civil right. It validates and promotes homosexuality. It opposes the natural family model. It defeats the benefit of marriage. It imposes acceptance on every American. It offends God.

#1: “The American people, all of this progress is because of you.” The fact is many Americans disagree with, and stand opposed to Obama’s moral, political, social, and spiritual agenda for the fundamental transformation of America.
