With just 10 members (sometimes only 5), the DOD spent $153M for accommodations over the past 4-years in Afghanistan.

The Task Force for Business and Stability Operations (TFBSO) somehow spent that much on “private villas, security guards and luxury meals.

Spending included Western-style villa accommodations with flat-screen televisions, mini-refrigerators and DVD players. All meals were at least 3 stars featuring at least two entree choices and three side order choices.

The task force also spent $43M building a gas station. Investigators estimated the station should have cost  $500K. That’s 86 times more than it should have cost.

Established by Bush in 2006, the task force has been under Obama’s control for the last 6-years.
