Neptune Minerals, Inc. needed help writing a winning contract to mine in international waters. Such contracts involve State Department approval.

Neptune contacts an employee of a New York hedge fund to get the help they needed.

The hedge fund guy is married to Chelsea Clinton, whose Mom, at the time, happens to be the Secretary of State of the United States working to get the Law of the Sea Treaty signed into law.(The effort was eventually blocked by the Senate.)

The hedge fund guy (Hillary’s son-in-law) contacts her. She sends an email to a deputy secretary of State ordering them to,  “… have someone follow up on this request which was forwarded to me?” The deputy replied: “I’ll get on it.”

To date Associated Press reporters are having no success getting comments from Hillary’s campaign office.

Federal guidelines clearly warn government employees to “not give preferential treatment to any private organization or individual.”
