WHAT CONFLICT OF INTEREST? THERE’S NO CONFLICT OF INTEREST!

Gov. Moonbeam, of California, owns a 2,700 acre ranch in the same state of which he is Governor.
He wondered if the land might be a worthwhile producer of gas or oil.
So, being the Chief Executive of the State, and a long-time devoted follower of Liberal Doctrine, he naturally told the state’s Office of Checking-Out Good Places to Drill for Gas and/or Oil to do a full-blown investigation of the property. (Nine days prior to his request the Governor appointed the new head of that department!).
They did as they were told. Their 51-page report indicated the family ranch was not a source of anything more lucrative than property taxes. Even the personalized satellite-imaged geological and oil and gas drilling map for the area, done especially for Jerry, showed no worthwhile deposits.
Oil industry experts said that kind of taxpayer funded work is NEVER done for private property.
Moonbeam’s request is especially curious considering he is an outspoken advocate of renewable energy and is well known for spearheading programs to curb the use of gas and oil.
California law forbids elected officials from using public employees or resources for personal purposes.
If you are not the Governor the only way you can evaluate your land’s potential is when private oil industry checks-out your property and comes to you.
Oh well, let’s watch and see if the Liberal government of California investigates their highest official for what looks like-sounds like-and smells like a scandal.
