One of the vital signs of the condition of our Republic has always been the Press Conference.

With every waking moment of the President’s day filled with formally scheduled obligations it is not easy for there to be direct contact with We The People.

The Press has always performed a vital task by representing us, much like our elected Representatives and Senators do, in scheduled, one-on-one, face-to-face meetings with our President.

A healthy Press conference includes not just prepared statements from the President, but unscripted questions to which the President is obligated to respond.

The latest vital sign from the White House (actually a fake White House movie set) indicates reasons for concern.

The unduly elected 46th President of the United States has always demonstrated an inability to participate in a proper Press Conference. He often prematurely turns and exits stage left, head down, shuffling-off like a tired old man heading-off to bed.

This last Tuesday Biden plumbed new depths of disrespect by failing to show-up on time! After arriving an hour late he ignored questions from the Press. After one particular question the camera swung to Biden anticipating his answer… all he did was pick his teeth and stare blankly into space, never answering.

One might expect the Big Media reporters who witnessed that alarming behavior to coax their editors to put the story on page one, but you would be wrong. Look for this story on ABC, CNN. NBC, or any of the media giants. If they mention the obvious mental lapse at all, it will be represented as a good and proper thing.
