A nationally prominent sports figure has answered a persistent interviewer regarding homosexuality in professional baseball.

Daniel Murphy, of the N.Y. Mets said this on the record:
“I do disagree with the fact that Billy [an ex-player who is a homosexual now doing PR work for homosexuality in sports] is a homosexual. That doesn’t mean I can’t still invest in him and get to know him. I don’t think the fact that someone is a homosexual should completely shut the door on investing in them in a relational aspect. Getting to know him. That, I would say, you can still accept them but I do disagree with the lifestyle, 100 percent.”

Murphy’s position is based upon his faith in God, and his belief that the Holy Bible is God’s word. It is from the Bible that Christians like Murphy get their understanding of issues in life. The Bible contains numerous perspicuous statements condemning homosexuality as being contrary to God’s will. That is why Murphy publically condemns homosexuality, but not the person. The Christian position, as illustrated by Murphy, is rational and must be accepted as a valid view even by those who do not share it.

Enter Jim Buzinski, a homosexual with Outsports.com, an advocacy website for the advancement of homosexuality in sports. He said this about Murphy:
“he’s also a person who has said he disagrees with the “homosexual lifestyle” in the offensive “love the sinner, hate the sin” way. That makes us even, since I disagree with his Christian “lifestyle.”.

On what basis does Buzinski disagree with Christianity? Can he show some self-conflicting teachings in the Bible which render it logically fallacious? Does he follow a different religion with its own venerated regulatory writings which advocate for any and all intimate behaviour? Or, is his disagreement based solely upon his personal preference and opinion?

In a true debate each side is obligated to defend their assertions against every effort to prove them to be illogical. The Bible withstands any challenge, never conflicting with itself, never stating an untruth. The Bible is Christianity. The Bible is an easy target, right out in the open for all to attack. Disprove the Bible and you disprove Christianity. There is Mr. Buzinski’s task.

So, what does one try to disprove when debating defenders of homosexuality? Do they have anything more than a mutual admiration society based upon fickle personal opinions? They truly have nothing more than sound and fury which signifies nothing.

To prove homosexuality is good you must do nothing less than disprove the book that says it’s bad… the Bible.

Now, here’s Murphy in action…
