As kids we could take-on any identity, or have any superhuman ability we could dream-up and convince our playmates to accept. The game went well so long as everyone agreed to accept the pretense.

In 2021 America such playful imaginings have crept-into grown-up society.

Some men are pretending to be women and vice-versa. Like a kid’s cowboy and Indian game the facade his grown to become part of many people’s “reality”. See HERE for more on this particular example.

It sounds crazy but it’s true.

Durte Dom, a boy born in 1993 to a Philippino man and an unknown woman decided he would rather be a girl. The game progressed as those around him played along. Eventually Durte named himself Kataluna Enriquez, and grew into a surgically altered mature adult.

All those around him played-along with the game. He entered beauty contests. He won the title of Miss Nevada. He entered the Miss USA pageant. The pageant officials joined the game and pretended Durte was a female. Technically he met all the rules for participation.

It seems the folks who play this game agree to not ask the most important question. . . chromosomes?

Durte Dom did not become Miss USA.
