WAS KARL ONE OF THE MARX BROTHERS?

Ask any working class person today in Cuba, N.Korea, Laos, China, or Vietnam if the following words describe their existence:
“In Communist society, accumulated labor is but a means to widen, to enrich, to promote the existence of the laborer.”
Those words of Karl Marx and Frederick Engels are from The Communist Manifesto. Clearly they have no application in the lives of the millions who exist under the tyranny of Communism.
Maybe The Manifesto was meant to be funny like Harpo, and Groucho?
Democrats here in America are telling us their sole purpose is to widen, enrich, and promote our existence. Open borders, runaway debt, inflation, higher taxes, bigger government, loss of Constitutional rights, weakening of the military and the police, etc. seem like strange ways to widen, enrich, and promote our existence.
