Knowing your hearers and readers will make assumptions is useful if your intent is to misrepresent the facts (lie).

If you are told, “465,000 Americans have died with Covid 19.” you would probably assume the cause of death was Covid 19. You would be wrong. Many (as many as 94%) of those deaths were the result of other causes… the deceased did have Covid virus in their body but it was some other health problem they had that caused their death

If only 6% of the reported deaths are from people who were ill with Covid 19 ONLY, having no other health problems, then that means one out of every 27,900 Americans has died from Covid19. That is much less severe a problem than if one out of every 712 Americans has died from it… which would be the number if the 465,000 was true.

Even if the official government figure was true, you could divide all 331 million Americans into groups of 712 people and just one person in each group would be lost to Covid19! That is a survival rate of 99.9%

Lots of Americans test positive for Covid 19… some of those who test positive actually get sick,,, some of those who get sick because of Covid19 actually get very sick with it,,, some of those people who get seriously ill because of Covid19 actually die from the effects of it. BUT, 998.6 people out of every1000 who test positive do not die from it.

The government is creating the illusion that the Covid19 virus is a virtual death sentence. It is not a death sentence.
