The Department. of Justice sent an official letter to the Supreme Court last Tuesday. It reads, “Following the change in Administration, the Department of Justice has reconsidered the government’s position … The purpose of this letter is to notify the Court that the United States no longer adheres to the conclusions in the previously filed brief of the federal respondents,”
Trump’s administration considered Obamacare to be in violation of the Constitution because the “Individual Mandate” says every individual must have health insurance and punishes those who refuse by levying a severe tax penalty.
