Once upon a time the FBI needed some “dirt” on a particular U.S. citizen, named Donald Trump. They needed to get a judge to approve a warrant so they could spy on Mr. Trump.
They couldn’t find anything that would convince a judge to grant a warrant. Then they remembered a suspected Russian spy they had investigated earlier who could be persuaded to give them the “dirt” they needed.
The FBI’s plan worked. They were given a warrant to conduct clandestine surveillance 24/7 on Mr.Trump, which they did.
The FBI used the information from the Russian spy to fuel a lengthy, formal investigation into the past and present activities of Mr. Trump who was now President of the United States. The idea was to prove that Trump had made a deal with Russia to undermine the other party’s candidate, Mrs. Clinton, and, to gain benefit from the use of Russian influence (illegal influence) to sway the election in his favor.
After years and millions of dollars were expended absolutely nothing was found by way of collusion between Trump and Russia.
On Thursday September 24, 2020 all this became public knowledge. The possible crimes committed in this story are many. The heads that could roll if these crimes are brought to justice are many, and belong to very high-up political figures. This could make Watergate look like nothing!
