LIBERALS WORRIED FOR AMERICA’S YOUTH?

A few weeks ago the number of Home Schoolers in America jumped from 3.4% to 100%.
The Socialist/Liberal/Globalist/Democrat community is as worried about this new paradigm as the parents who are struggling to fulfill their new duty. Concerns on the part of unprepared parents are not difficult to understand, but what’s bothering the Liberals about kids being taught at home?
One of the Left’s gurus on educating children puts it this way: “Homeschooling deprives children of their right* to a meaningful education… it’s also important that children grow up exposed to community values, social values, democratic values, ideas about nondiscrimination and tolerance of other people’s viewpoints.” –Elizabeth Bartholet, faculty director of Harvard Law School’s Child Advocacy Program. (Nothing about reading, writing, and ‘rithmetic in her formula, it ought to be noted.)
- What “right”? The Constitution affords no such right.
